Job Summary:

 
 ZelTech is seeking an experienced, skilled information technology professional to join our team.  This candidate will be responsible for supporting systems, networks, databases, updating system software and hardware, troubleshooting, information security, disaster recovery, automation, and help desk support.   

Responsibilities:

• Supports with analysis, maintenance, revision, and evaluation of the organization’s technology needs. 
• Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, virus protection, and email security. 
• Provide top notch customer service to company employees onsite or remote. 
• Set up and maintain new equipment for new users and employees 
• Consult with vendors and customers to integrate and update company technology 
• Ensure system optimization for all technology resources 
• Desktop/Server management of a Windows and Linux environment including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance of software/hardware and peripherals. 
• Analyze/Test system upgrades and enhancements prior to implementation insuring smooth transitions/upgrades.   
• Perform Backup and Recovery processes for Enterprise computing environment. 
• Recommends Hardware/Software purchases. 
• LAN Administration to include patch management, cabling, switch/router management, and network performance tuning. 
• Support for periodic On-Call support for after-hours and weekends.    
• The candidate will be required to carry a smart phone for critical outages. 
• Install and configure wireless networking equipment. 
• Management of user accounts, passwords, permissions, and overall access. 
• Support Patch Management, Vulnerability Remediation, Email Log Analysis, and other information system and infrastructure safeguarding practices. 

Requirements:

• Must be a US citizen. 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent and four (4) or more years of IT administration. 
• In lieu of degree, 6 years of relevant experience. 
• Solid foundational understanding of core Internet and networking protocols — including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SMTP, NAT, and VPN technologies — as well as fundamental concepts such as IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and network segmentation. 
• Assist with the design, implementation, and support of new software installation. 
• Troubleshoot Office equipment such as printers, telephones, and conference room equipment. 
• Troubleshoot computers and common help desk issues. 
• Successful background and drug screening check.  

Preferred Requirements:

•  Experience in Microsoft Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Azure, M365, Hyper-V, Office Equipment, Switches, Routers, Firewall Configuration, Log Analysis, Exchange, SharePoint, Disaster Recovery, Cabling, Office equipment, proficient in oral and written communication, Windows PowerShell and Unix Shell Scripting. 
• Information Technology, CompTIA Security Plus or Comparable industry standard Cybersecurity Certification.

The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.   

• Must have the ability to climb ladders and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.   
• Minimum travel.  
•  Standard Work Hours:   8:00am-5:00pm with occasional overtime. 
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
