Responsibilities
You will be a part of Risk, Regulatory and Compliance in Risk Services, and you will experience a dynamic and fast-paced working environment. From potential start-ups to renowned local and global financial institutions, clients look to you for audit, regulatory, listing, private placement, corporate change and other business-related risk, valuation, and compliance advice.
- Manage a wide range of topics to ensure integrity and control over all aspects of valuation
- Perform Independent price verification to ensure that the financial instruments (OTC or private) are fair valued
- Provide valuation support to financial services and general audit engagements
- Exercise seasoned judgment when a call on valuation is required and ensuring audit trails are documented
- Perform market, liquidity, credit, and counterparty credit risk model reviews and validation (including stress and regulatory related models)
- Assist with business developments or new market opportunities (e.g. new clients, services, proposal formulation, presentations, etc)
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, including communication of the scope of work, findings and observations, industry updates, etc
Requirements
- 4 - 8 years of relevant working experience in functions like risk management, risk analytics, valuation control or methodology preferred
- Good University degree from quantitative or STEM disciplines, preferably a Masters (Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, etc)
- Solid knowledge of financial markets products across Credit, Rates, FX, Equities and Private Assets
- Advanced Excel, VBA, SQL, Python skills are essential and experience with Machine learning would be an advantage
- Advisory working experience related to ICAAP/MAS 637 is a plus but not a requirement
- Persuasive, persistent with high stress tolerance to manage stringent and moving deadlines
- Well organized and able to work independently
- Effective interpersonal, ability to influence and communication skill
