Sika was first established in Malaysia in 1989 and full operations commenced in 1991 through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd, with the completion of its local head office and production plant in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. In the Construction sector, our business activities cover the full spectrum of project types ranging from infrastructural development to buildings, from institutional facilities to manufacturing plants. We service our direct customers – concrete producers, contractors and distributors – and stay close to them through our central sales & marketing office in Bangsar South and a network of sales offices in Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. In 2014 our presence in the Malaysian construction continued to grow when our Ipoh Plant was built and running to meet customer demands.
In Malaysia, our Industry Division is the clear market leader in the automotive glass replacement sector (AGR) and the “Sikaflex” brand is instantly recognized as a mark for quality, reliability and performance. In the automotive OEM sector, we are the approved supplier to top German car markets such as Mercedes Benz and BMW. Meanwhile, Sika leads the field in total bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection solutions for bus, truck and rail vehicle manufacturing, and for the assembly of appliances, industrial equipment and building components.
Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 400 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.

About The Role
As our HRBP – Talent Management, you will serve as a strategic advisor and influential partner to senior leadership, leading the design and execution of talent management strategies that fuel business transformation, succession planning, and sustained organizational performance. You will champion leadership development, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and enable the workforce for future success.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultative strategic partner to executive leadership, influencing business decisions with expert advice on workforce, talent, and culture transformation.
- Develop and execute end-to-end talent management strategies including succession planning, talent mobility, and leadership development programs to secure the future of our organization.
- Partner with leaders to forecast workforce needs, build robust organizational structures, and prepare for business growth and competitiveness.
- Lead change management initiatives by shaping talent readiness for transformation (including M&A, restructuring, digital adoption).
- Drive employer branding strategies in partnership with Marketing and Communications, building an authentic EVP to attract and retain top talent.
- Design and optimize performance management and employee capability programs, fostering a culture of continuous feedback, growth, and results.
- Analyze organizational health using HR data and analytics, providing actionable insights and evidence-based recommendations for people strategy.
- Ensure compliance and proactively manage labor/regulatory risks as an enabler for talent strategy.
- Coach and consult leaders, advise on complex people matters, and drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and engagement.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in HRM, Psychology, Business, or related field.
- At least 15 years of progressive HR experience, with proven leadership in talent management and strategic HRBP partnering.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role leading HR or Talent Management teams.
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior leaders and contributing at board/executive level.
- Deep expertise in succession planning, leadership development, performance improvement, and change management.
- Business acumen with a track record of delivering results aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint), skilled in HRIS and analytics tools.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural influencing skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- High integrity, professional, and committed to adding significant value to the business.
