We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Java-based Microservice API development that powers mission-critical products and services.
Role Summary:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of robust, scalable, and secure software solutions that support evolving business objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, architect systems within cloud environments, and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle. The engineer will also research and recommend innovative technical solutions to meet changing business and technology landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable applications in a cloud-based environment.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and senior engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
• Ensure developed solutions comply with architectural standards, security guidelines, and best engineering practices.
• Participate actively in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment processes to maintain quality and performance.
• Support ongoing operational excellence by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and driving root cause analysis and remediation.
• Conduct research and Proof of Concepts (POCs) for emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve product performance and development efficiency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for design, implementation, and operational support.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and automation efforts.
• Engage in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement to ensure efficient team collaboration.
• Work closely with senior engineers and technical leads to receive mentorship and enhance technical expertise.
• Assist with effort estimation, project planning, and prioritization to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Maintain awareness of modern software development practices, evolving technologies, and security standards through continuous learning and team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering within enterprise or cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher) and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Exposure to front-end frameworks such as Angular or React is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of application security principles and cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with TDD and BDD in the software development processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with an ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to producing high-quality code, maintaining technical documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement.
