Company Description
Welcome to Ability Action Australia
We are a national therapy services provider. Every day and in many ways, we are here to help NDIS participants – children, adolescents and adults – get more out of life. Our work is much needed, vitally important and life-changing for our clients and their families.
Job Description
We’re growing fast (coffee intake confirms it), and AAA’s Psychology team is on the hunt for a Provisional Psychologist who’s both values-driven and human. If you like supportive supervision, multidisciplinary brains to bounce off, and the occasional work laugh that’s actually funny, read on.
You’ll join a passionate crew including OTs, Speechies, Behaviour Support Practitioners and Exercise Physiologists, all working together to deliver brilliant outcomes for NDIS participants in line with AHPRA and NDIS regs and each person’s goals.
Hours: We’re flexible. Part-time from 20 hrs/week (min 3 days) through to full-time. You pick what fits your life (and your dog-walking schedule).
What you’ll do (aka “things you’re great at”)
- Deliver evidence-based, client-centred therapy in a professional, confidential and culturally safe way.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and turn findings into meaningful goals.
- Own your caseload with support (and yes, we actually mean support).
- Co-create, review and refine support plans with participants and their stakeholders.
- Collaborate with our friendly multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders.
- Keep case notes and reports to the right standards (AHPRA/NDIS/ethical guidelines).
- Join monthly team meetings and team-led in-services (we share snacks and knowledge).
- Weekly internal supervision with your internal supervisor aka protected time, genuinely useful.
What’s in it for you
- Flexibility: Start from 20 hrs/week (min 3 days) up to full-time. You pick your days/hours.
- Excellent remuneration: Salary + car allowance + laptop + smartphone + rewards + salary packaging + internal supervision on offer
- Work–life balance: Hybrid model. Home, community, and office/clinic.
- Career growth: Training, PD tailored to your interests, and progression pathways with AAA and MedHealth.
- Culture you can feel: Purpose-driven, values-led, supportive, and fun.
What You’Ll Bring
- AHPRA registration as a Provisional Psychologist.
- A high standard of professional ethics.
- WWCC and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Driver’s licence (min P-plates) and access to your own car.
