Job Description

Global Business Operations – Business Transformation & Systems Management Overview
The Business Transformation & Systems Management team drives operational excellence across UPHE by leading process innovation, workflow optimization, and strategic cross-functional alignment across the global distribution ecosystem. Acting as a bridge between retailers, internal teams, and technology partners, they oversee platform development roadmaps and integration, manage post-launch adoption, and ensure system stability through issue resolution and performance monitoring. As subject matter experts, they champion continuous improvement and scalable solutions that enhance efficiency and long-term business value.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Collaboration

  • Shape the future of UPHE’s global operations by co-creating strategies that align technology, process, and people across content distribution.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, guiding decisions that balance innovation, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Foster alignment across cross-functional teams including Operations & Technology, Release Planning, Partner Services, TV Distribution, and Marketing, ensuring unified execution on go-to-market operations with shared business objectives.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead transformation initiatives that streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and deliver measurable impact across Global Business Operations.
  • Establish governance frameworks and KPIs to drive continuous improvement, identify gaps, and ensure accountability.
  • Oversee issue and bug ticket management, ensuring timely resolution, transparent communication, and long-term process optimization.
  • Manage the Global Business Operations budget, partnering with Finance and leadership to forecast spend, allocate resources, and optimize vendor investments

Innovation And Technology

  • Own the UPHE Global Technology Roadmap, prioritizing system enhancements, integrations, and automation that future-proof the studio’s infrastructure.
  • Champion scalable, stable platforms and data pipelines, working closely with Operations & Technology to align technical capabilities with business needs.
  • Drive adoption of innovative technologies, including automation and predictive analytics, to enhance decision-making and operational agility.

Global Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, focused on operational excellence, process design, and strategic enablement.
  • Build strong vendor partnerships, managing SOW processes from scoping and selection to negotiation and onboarding.
  • Guide change management and communication efforts, ensuring successful adoption of new systems, workflows, and business processes.
  • Represent Global Business Operations in enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, advocating for standardization and efficiency across NBCUniversal.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, in business operations, transformation, or distribution within entertainment, media or a related industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire diverse stakeholder groups and drive change across the organization.
  • Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrates project management expertise with the ability to oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives that bridge business and technology.
  • Strategic, detail-oriented thinker with a track record of turning insights into actionable plans.

Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • A trusted adviser to senior leadership, known for translating complexity into actionable insights.
  • A collaborative leader who fosters inclusion, transparency, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Preferred experience in operational systems, supply chain workflows, and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) or ability and willingness to learn & secure certification on the job.

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
