Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual HQ Liaison (contractor) to serve as the primary liaison between our team in Santa Clara, CA and LG’s headquarters (HQ) in Korea. This is currently a contract and hybrid position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting and reporting on the business status and performance of new ventures and investment funds, as well as coordinating approval processes and supporting strategic communications. This position works closely with the CMBU Strategy and Support Team Leader and internal teams to ensure alignment with HQ expectations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HQ in Korea on matters related to new ventures, portfolio companies, and investment funds
- Prepare and translate high-quality reports, presentations, and performance updates for HQ
- Document and communicate key milestones, business status, financial performance, and strategic developments across ventures
- Coordinate internal teams to gather, synthesize, and deliver requested materials to HQ in a timely manner
- Manage approval workflows by negotiating and securing required consents and decisions from HQ
- Ensure that all communications with HQ are aligned, accurate, and compliant with internal protocols
- Support planning and coordination of joint meetings, reviews, and strategic sessions with HQ
- Provide cultural and contextual interpretation to bridge communication between local teams and HQ
- Assist with any other strategic documentation or reporting needs as directed by the Team Leader
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Communications, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in corporate communications, business development, or relationship management roles
- Native or near-native fluency in Korean and English, with strong translation and business writing skills in both languages
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage professional relationships across cultures and time zones
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Please Note: while this is a contract position and not a direct hire role with LG, this is not intended to be a short-term contract. We would like this person to work with LG NOVA on a more long-term basis.
Compensation: the hourly rate for this position is between $40-$55/hour depending on experience. Any benefits offered are through the contract agency and not LG's employment benefits.
