Position Description

HPS is seeking a dynamic and organized Summer Intern to join the Core Senior Lending team in Chicago. The Intern will be involved in all stages of the deal process: from initial screening to underwriting and presenting the transaction to the investment committee, as well as assisting with additional work streams throughout the summer. The team focuses primarily on private credit investments across a broad range of industries.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Develop financial analysis, detailed business due diligence, comparative company analysis, and valuation analysis to assess new investment opportunities
  • Assist in preparation of materials for discussion with the investment committee

Candidate Profile

  • Experience with financial modeling, spreadsheet skills and overall quantitative ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; and team player with a strong work ethic
  • Understanding of key finance and accounting principles
