The Benefits Administrator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role administers employee benefits and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Benefits Administrator ensures that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Responsibilities
- Be the subject matter expert on Medical, Dental, HSA, Dental, Vision, Accident, Disability, Life insurance, and COBRA, for Nox Group employees.
- Administers employee benefits programs, including but not limited to enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Maintain benefit enrollment system (Employee Navigator) ensuring benefit changes and new enrollments are entered appropriately.
- Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
- Counsel employees regarding Company's benefit options and programs.
- Prepare and edit benefits related communication including benefit eligibility announcements and open enrollment timelines.
- Maintain personal knowledge of Benefit laws and regulations.
- Manage open enrollment.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Reconciles benefits statements.
- Generate monthly billing for entire benefits program.
- Manage FMLA/STD/LTD requests and approvals via third party.
- Assist Payroll Admin in weekly payroll processing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two years’ related experience required. Experience in benefits administration preferred.
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certifications preferred.
