Job Position

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer.

Job Responsibility

• Custom Development: Develop custom applications and solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
• Integration: Integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.
• Data Management: Design and manage complex data models, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and other team members.
• Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, debug code, and provide ongoing support.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and user manuals.
• Optimization: Optimize performance and scalability of Salesforce applications.
• Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest Salesforce features and best practices
• Integration: Integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development and DevOps.
• Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Components, SOQL, and Salesforce metadata.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, Copado, Gearset, Bitbucket, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development and DevOps.

Devops Strategy & Automation:

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce using tools like Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Automate deployment processes across Sandboxes, UAT, and Production environments.
• Implement version control best practices for Salesforce metadata and code.

Release Management:

• Own the release calendar and coordinate deployments across teams.
• Ensure compliance and rollback strategies are in place for all releases.
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to validate deployment readiness.

Environment Management:

• Manage and optimize Salesforce org strategy, including sandbox refreshes and data seeding.
• Monitor environment health and proactively resolve configuration or performance issues.

Governance & Security:

• Enforce change management policies, including code reviews and approval workflows.
• Integrate security scanning tools into the DevOps lifecycle (e.g., PMD, Checkmarx).
• Maintain audit trails and deployment logs for compliance.

Collaboration & Mentorship:

• Partner with Salesforce developers, architects, and admins to align DevOps practices with development workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps culture across the organization.
• Document processes and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
• Interest in taking ownership on products and projects.
• Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges.
