About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic UCAN Ads Partnerships Lead to drive high-impact partnerships across the US and Canada region. The ideal candidate has a strong background in ad tech or digital-first media, with expertise in data, measurement, and DSP (Demand-Side Platform) partnerships. This role blends commercial acumen with strategic and analytical thinking to build partnerships that deliver measurable value, both in terms of business impact and financial return.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, negotiate, and execute strategic partnership opportunities with key players in the ad tech and digital media ecosystem—spanning data providers, measurement companies, DSPs, and related vendors.
- Own the financial health and economics of partnership investments—develop ROI models, track spend and return, and ensure all deals are structured for sustainable value creation.
- Manage the full partnership lifecycle, from initial evaluation and due diligence through contract negotiation, onboarding (in collaboration with Business Operations), and ongoing performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring alignment with Netflix’s business objectives and maximizing joint value.
- Define and implement a co-sell strategy and initiatives spanning industry verticals, agency holding companies or operating companies, and individual client businesses.
- Build robust business cases for new opportunities, incorporating strategic fit, cost-benefit analysis, and long-term growth potential.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Measurement, Legal, etc.) to ensure seamless partnership execution and alignment with regional strategy.
- Monitor and report on partnership performance, using data-driven insights to guide investment decisions, performance optimization, and renewal strategies.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on regional partnerships, enabling and educating internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience leading partnerships within digital media, ad tech, or data strategy, with proven expertise in commercial deal management across DSPs, data, and measurement.
- Experience with audience segmentation, media planning, and programmatic buying.
- Proven ability to own partnership P&L elements—including investment strategy, ROI analysis, and economic performance tracking.
- Skilled at bridging technical and commercial teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear business impact.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams that operate across sales planning, technical sales, and business operations.
- Experience in commercializing data partnerships, including the definition of commercial model, pricing strategy, and joint go-to-market activities.
- Strong understanding of data clean room use cases and their application to partnerships.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Deep understanding of privacy-first advertising and industry regulations.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to assess partner performance, optimize investments, and drive measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
