About The Role:

This is a senior leadership role within the Ireland sales team.

You will be accountable for shaping and implementing a sales plan for the Irish sales team, and leading the team to deliver annual sales volumes, value, product mix and GC. They will build a sustainable performance with profitable growth of the Electrical Retail sales channel (e.g. DID, HN, PC, Expert & Euronics etc) and contribute to the Ireland sales performance, as part of the local management team. 

You will be responsible for both the tactical direction and longer-term strategy to drive growth and maximise profitability within their channel. With day-to-day line management responsibility for NAMs and reporting to the Ireland Country Sales Manager.

The scope of this role will include contributing to the wider sales strategy and direction for the Ireland sales organisation. It will involve regular weekly participation in the Commercial Area call, Monthly Ops meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews with Commercial Area and major inputs into the budgetary and forecast processes. 

Location

The role is based in Dublin. Travel is required to visit clients (approximately 40% of the time).

What You’Ll Do:

  • Build & implement the ER sales strategy, in line with the overall Ireland sales strategy, to achieve and exceed budgeted sales targets, identify sales opportunities and ensure Commercial Area (CA) targets are met including Volume and Net Sales, market share & profitability CA KPIs etc.
  • Negotiate and manage annual terms & commercial agreements, working with customers to meet their requirements and agreeing commercial terms that also deliver value for the business to ensure collaborative business goals are met.
  • Monitor the return on investments made across marketing, promotional and partnership initiatives, identifying new sales opportunities, addressing poor performing areas and managing these investments to ensure maximum ROI.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders and proactively managing all stakeholders to enable profitable sales performance that delivers value in line with business and customer requirements.
  • Planning and implementing a long-term growth plan for AEG and Electrolux within the ER market, which is aligned with other customers, channels and in line with Electrolux strategy, working in close collaboration with all stakeholders to achieve growth and sustainable performance.
  • In collaboration with local team and stakeholders, present New Product Development opportunities and execute best in class product launches to excite our retailers and consumers to drive sales, revenue, and profitable performance. 
  • Lead and support in scope team in creating annual joint business plans with ER customers that are aligned to customer requirements and Electrolux priorities, maximising sales opportunities and ensuring profitable and sustainable sales performance and value are met.
  • Working closely with the central CBD team to ensure European strategies are aligned on any IKAs and to provide commercial input on CA West needs, input, and priorities to ensure these are considered when finalising priorities and plans.  
  • Provide active and engaging leadership to the team, ensuring the team is high performing and that talent within the team is developed, motivated, and engaged with a culture of collaboration towards the centre and local teams.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably in Business Administration, Management, or a related field)
  • Proven experience in a Senior Sales role within a commercial, consumer goods company with a focus on Major Domestic Appliances
  • Previous people management experience
  • Able to engage, motivate and manage sales team                                                   
  • Able to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Evidence of budget control, forecasting and financial expertise
  • Experienced in managing Head Office stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen, business analysis and numerical interpretation
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Open, ambitious, and keen to grow by learning and development
