Job Description

We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility of work-from-home time as defined by the leadership team.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team. The position requires the person to:

  • Develop and prepare educational materials that focus on areas in need of improvement and use these materials in a manner that facilitates the development of other associates.
  • Assess, direct and participate in training and skill building that may include travel to work with Branch and Home Office Associates including management.
  • Direct the activities of associates in meeting company objectives.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Several years of experience with significant knowledge relevant to Branch and Home Office Underwriting.
  • Demonstrates above average problem solving, training and skill building ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree or several years related experience or training
  • Actively engaged in Company approved continuing education programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms
  • Demonstrates innovativeness and continually seeks more efficient ways to process and handle work.
  • Objectively evaluate the progress of meeting training objectives; analyze training procedures; and prepare reports for management that include conclusions and recommendations for training alternatives and methods.
  • Implement policies established by Senior Management.
  • Work effectively with associates and customers at all levels.
  • Travel to branches as requested to perform activities as may be required.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned within Home Office or elsewhere on request.
