Summary/Objective

As a member of STACK’s Operations team, the Critical Operations Coordinator supports the Critical Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a hyperscale data center. This role coordinates third-party facility management services, assists with administrative and vendor processes, and helps track budgets, maintenance tasks, and site improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a consistent culture of safety across all STACK data centers.
  • Support the day-to-day coordination of facility operations and vendor activities.
  • Assist with scheduling and tracking preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and report general site conditions, escalating abnormalities to senior staff when needed.
  • Support implementation of site improvement and efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records for preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate training logistics and documentation for staff and vendors.
  • Assist with managing vendor relationships, service contracts, and performance tracking.
  • Support procurement activities, including obtaining quotes and processing purchase requests.
  • Track and verify invoices related to facility services.
  • Assist with site budgeting and forecasting by preparing supporting data and documentation.
  • Help draft and maintain standard operating procedures and checklists for soft services.
  • Coordinate with project and engineering teams to ensure construction and commissioning activities
  • Align with ongoing operations.
  • Maintain training records and competency documentation for on-site personnel.
  • Provide administrative and communication support for facility-related customer requests.
  • Assist with incident reporting and post-incident documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by preparing and organizing records.
  • Coordinate soft services such as cleaning, landscaping, waste management, and office support.
  • Maintain inventory of office and facility supplies.
  • Use site management systems (e.g., CMS or BMS dashboards) to log and track operational data as directed.
  • Support after-hours or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel Required

  • Minimal travel is required for this role.

Required Education and Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience supporting operations, facilities, or vendor management in a data center or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with data center, telecommunications, or other technical or mission critical environment is a plus.
  • Experience administering and managing facility preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience supporting vendor coordination and basic project administration.
  • Intermediate English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business applications.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Technical or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or building services disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Business-level English communication skills

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support.
