About The Role

The Sponsorship Manager is responsible for working with key stakeholders to secure, manage, and activate sponsorships that not only drive commercial success but also contribute meaningfully to the legacy and inclusion goals of the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027. This role ensures that partnerships acquired reflect the tournament’s values of equity, community engagement, and long-term impact.

Key Areas of Focus

Throughout your journey with the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027, you will:

  • Lead the charge on sponsorship strategy and sales, alongside our GM Revenue & Experience.
  • Collaborate with our appointed sales agency to pitch, secure, and manage high-impact partnerships.
  • In collaboration with the appointed Sales Agency, help craft compelling sponsorship packages that meet the objectives of both the prospective partners and delivers against the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 commercial revenue objectives.
  • Manage the both the financial & rights requirements of Partner contracts to ensure all contractual obligations are delivered.
  • Be the go-to person for all sponsor relationships both internally & externally including but not limited to negotiations, activations, and delivering value.
  • Drive inclusive, fan and community centric partner activations that reflect the spirit of the tournament.
  • Develop and implement best in class, engaging and informative partner workshops to ensure all our partners are fully informed and equipped to maximise their leverage opportunities from Netball World Cup Sydney 2027.
  • Track pipeline and partner performance, report on impact, and help shape a partnership legacy that lasts well beyond 2027.
  • Contribute to partner initiatives that promote participation from underrepresented groups, including First Nations communities, women and girls, and people with disabilities.

About You

You’re a confident communicator, a sharp negotiator, and a natural relationship builder. You know how to spot opportunities, close deals, and keep partners coming back for more. You thrive in fast-paced environments, possess a get the job done attitude, love a challenge, and bring energy and precision to everything you do. You have worked and achieved success in all facets of sponsorship, including sales, negotiations, contract management, partner servicing & reporting.

  • Experience with CRM systems and sponsorship tracking tools
  • A genuine passion for sport, community impact, and brand storytelling

Additional Information

Reporting into the General Manager – Revenue & Experience, this full-time role will be based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September 2027. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of our HQ and traditional office hours may be required from time to time.
