Sr. IT Monitoring Administrator

• Manage, maintain, and monitor IT monitoring tools including: 

• Collaborate with various IT infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure proactive monitoring coverage and incident detection.
• Administer and configure monitoring policies, thresholds, event correlation rules, and dashboards for various platforms.
• Maintain CMDB accuracy and ensure tight integration between monitoring, discovery, and automation tools.
• Analyze monitoring gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize visibility and reduce incident response times.
• Act as an SME for monitoring during audits, incidents, and project discussions.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and support cross-functional training initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT monitoring or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with enterprise monitoring tools listed above.
• Proven experience working in large-scale, complex, and regulated environments (preferably banking or financial services).
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, applications, databases) and how they interrelate.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

• Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, HP Certified Professional, AppDynamics Certified, etc.)
• Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and their integration with monitoring systems.
