Position Summary
The Senior Manager Risk Management supports Insurance & Compliance team efforts to develop and administer risk management programs to protect Zachry Group and its assets. Supports Projects and Services Groups by reviewing contract documents, including customer contracts, leases, rental agreements and related documents. Supports Proposals and Supply Chain teams by reviewing contract documents and evidence of insurance and working to ensure appropriate risk management programs are in place. Works with service providers, including brokers, third-party claims administrators and others, to establish and implement risk management solutions or mitigation measures.
Responsibilities
- Review of project proposal documents prior to bid. Review contractual and insurance provisions.
- Work with division managers, attorneys and clients to negotiate contracts regarding contractual and insurance issues
- Assist with management of broker and insurance company relationships. Negotiate service contracts and insurance placements as necessary.
- Assist Zachry Group project teams with job-specific questions, claims, and other issues.
- Train new employees and assist them in making a smooth transition into Zachry Group.
- Serve on internal/external committees
- Review corporate insurance and help maintain appropriate records for coverage, insurers, brokers and claims as necessary.
- Other duties may include and of the following:1. Support accounting functions of Risk Management Department2. Manage claims handling by third-party administrators3. Maintain recommended professional certifications
Requirements
Bachelor’S Degree Required
- 3-5 years’ experience in Risk Management
- Good work ethic and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Power Point
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with shifting priorities in a dynamic, deadline‐driven environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on most projects or tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
- Must be detail‐oriented and have strong proof‐reading skills
- Must be willing to travel.
Physical Demands
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.
Work Environment
Work will be in a conservative corporate office environment operating and functioning at a fast pace. Working out of cubicles near other various colleagues who are also in cubes. Some may refer to these workspaces as cube farms. Our corporate campus includes an on-site café with various daily breakfast, lunch and snack-time selections, a sizeable fitness center equipped with various state of the artwork out equipment & weights, outdoor walking/jogging-path, herb garden, basketball half-court, sand-volleyball court, soccer field, as well as a clinic with a certified nurse practitioner. Office noise will be low and generally consist of cube neighbors’ phone-calls, conversations and/or laughter.
