Social Media Content Creator (ZR_28563_JOB)

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday  across Canada timezones.
• Client Timezone: Eastern Time (Canada)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Research and source compelling photos from restaurants, hotels, spas, entertainment venues, and local businesses across 7 Canadian cities
• Create approximately 245 engaging social media posts per week, with text overlays and captivating captions
• Design and deploy newsletters starting with 2 per week for major markets, with potential to scale rapidly
• Schedule content using HeyOrca social media planning platform across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, X, and YouTube
• Collaborate with internal editor through established approval workflow to ensure content quality
• Develop carousel-style posts including event checklists and local guides
• Scale content production strategies as channels grow and expand to new markets
• Maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity across all platforms and cities

Requirements:

• Proven experience with high-volume social media content creation and scheduling tools
• Strong graphic design skills and proficiency with photo editing software
• Excellent writing abilities for social media captions and newsletter content
• Experience with social media scheduling platforms (HeyOrca experience is a bonus)
• Understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, X, and YouTube best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume content environment
• Newsletter design and deployment experience
• Bonus if you have experience with Canadian markets or local business content
• It helps if you’re familiar with content approval workflows and collaborative editing processes
