Position Description:
Builds scalable Web User Interface (UI) technical solutions according to Agile methodologies using Angular, Java, Spring Frameworks, Bootstrap, and Python. Builds re-useable Angular components, services, and HTTP protocols to retrieve data from middle-tier services. Containerizes software application components using Docker and Kubernetes. Builds Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software development and deployment pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and uDeploy. Builds REST APIs using Java Spring Boot. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
- Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
- Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
- Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
- Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
- Advises senior management on technical strategy.
Education And Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and implementing web applications in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and implementing web applications in a financial services environment.
Skills And Knowledge:
Candidate Must Also Possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) analyzing, designing, and developing CloudReady, highly scalable micro-services, according to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, using Spring Ecosystem – Spring Boot, Spring Web, JDBC/JPA, Connection Pooling, and Core Spring framework modules.
- DE building and migrating highly scalable web-based applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular Framework, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog with a focus on redundancy, high availability, fault-tolerance, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- DE building pipelines for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Git, Maven, Jenkins Core, and Github; performing Regression Testing, using Jenkins job setup for automated scripts; and maintaining regression suites, and performing functional testing using Eclipse, GIT, and Jenkins.
- DE designing and developing automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD); developing UI automation frameworks for Web-based applications using Gherkin and Page Object Model; validating requests and Application Programming Interface (API) responses, using SOAP and REST Web services, Ready API, and RestAssured; and generating custom regression reports of JSON content to validate requests and API responses.
