Position Description:
Develops mid-tier automation frameworks using predictive analytics. Performs Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) integration using Jenkins and Maven. Works end-to-end integrated test plans, test cases, and test data. Performs commercial software development using Object-Oriented Design (OOD) methodology and in Java. Works with team members to understand domain and accelerate test automation strategy to enable delivery velocity. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
- Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
- Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
- Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
- Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
- Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
- Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
- Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
- Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education And Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) crafting and maintaining test automation and database validation in an agile delivery model for Web services and User Interface (UI) front-end applications, using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) crafting and maintaining test automation and database validation in an agile delivery model for Web services and User Interface (UI) front-end applications, using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
Skills And Knowledge:
Candidate Must Also Possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) analyzing requirement documents, and creating and maintaining test plans and cases, using JIRA, Zephyr, Confluence, HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and Bugzilla; maintaining risks, compliance, and governance processes, using RSA Archer; and testing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solutions, Enterprise Case Management (ECM), Operational Risk Management (ORM) applications, and compliance and fraud detection tools, using Actimize and OpenPages (IBM).
- DE automating UI functionality using Unified Functional Testing (UFT) with VB Scripting, Coded UI with C#, and Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE); and executing and controlling test execution and version control, using Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Subversion (SVN).
- DE performing automated UI frontend and backend webservices testing, using Selenium with Java and JavaScript; implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber; executing Application Programming Interface (API) automation using Rest Assured, TestNG, and JUnit; and performing framework development, cross-browser, and API testing, using Selenium Grid, SOAP UI, Postman, Insomnia, and Bruno.
- DE executing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for build management and version control, using Jenkins, Bamboo, Maven, Bitbucket, Git, and Github; performing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) testing using Informatica; and database testing using Toad, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
