Drive the team's goals and technical direction to pursue opportunities that make your larger organization more efficient
Effectively communicate complex features and systems in detail
Understand industry and company-wide trends to help assess & develop new technologies
Partner and collaborate with organization leaders to help improve the level of performance of the team and organization
Identify new opportunities for the larger organization and influence the appropriate people for staffing/prioritizing these new ideas
Lead long term technical strategy and roadmap for large cross-company efforts
Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create an effective feature and technology roadmap
Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and drive large efforts to reduce technical debt
Programming experience in C++ and Python
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap in which short-term projects ladder to the long-term mission
Proven track record of leading exploratory projects from ideation to proof-of-concepts
Experience driving large cross-functional, company or industry-wide engineering efforts
Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions
Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions
Experience mentoring/influencing experienced engineers across organizations
Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume data from varying sources
Experience in machine learning
PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, Robotics Human-Computer Interaction, Biomedical Engineering or related)
Proven track record of leading design and deployment end-to-end systems for consumer-facing hardware (such as edge devices, wearables) demonstrated through leading complex projects involving hardware sensors, signal processing, machine learning for real-world data, and the development of edge/cloud computation
Experience in building scalable data pipelines, model training, and deployment frameworks for wearables or mobile devices
Experience with large-scale model training, transfer learning, and data-efficient ML
Experience building and maintaining SDKs or developer platforms for ML/data-driven products
