Your Day-To-Day
- Designate and train key colleagues on IT systems to ensure continuity during absences.
- Communicate system changes, issues, and updates to respective stakeholders.
- Coordinate purchase of non-standard program applications as needed.
- Manage and monitor all computer hardware to ensure optimal guest experience.
- Maintain thorough product, service, and hotel knowledge to effectively assist guests, while implementing procedures that enhance guest satisfaction and ensure adherence to brand standards.
- Evaluate and maintain internal controls for accounting and computer systems.
- Ensure proper maintenance contracts and preventive maintenance for IT systems.
- Stay updated on relevant technology, including hardware, software, PMS, POS, cyber security systems, and communication tools.
- Manage system configurations, performance monitoring, software installations, and troubleshoot issues.
- Establish and document Crisis Management procedures; ensure backups and data security meet Brand standards.
- Control physical and data security of computer systems and administer user access and passwords.
- Maintain technical documentation and distribute relevant reports and updates.
- Conduct self-audits and follow up on CSA audit findings.
- Develop and manage annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets, ensuring alignment with operational and corporate objectives.
- Lead and coordinate the annual PCI DSS compliance audit, maintaining adherence to regulatory and brand standards.
- Oversee vendor management, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, and service delivery optimization.
- Serve as the hotel’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and corporate policies.
- Adhere to and enforce OH&S policies, safety, and security procedures, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
What we need from you
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education/work combination)
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; represents the brand professionally
- Solid knowledge of local area networks and Microsoft Windows
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and training abilities
- Strong understanding of innovation and technology trends
- Able to assess, implement, and influence change effectively across hotel operations
