Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee the purchasing of raw materials, equipment, and services. This role ensures cost-effective procurement and efficient logistics to support production and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory and financial data to support production planning.
• Develop and maintain purchasing plans aligned with inventory targets.
• Negotiate with vendors and manage supplier relationships.
• Coordinate new packaging rollouts and item execution processes.
• Process purchase orders and ensure compliance with purchasing policies.
• Manage purchasing data through MRP systems and conduct market analysis.
• Expedite critical orders and manage logistics providers (domestic/international).
• Implement supplier performance metrics and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Support budget preparation and monitor expenditures.
• Maintain documentation, databases, and process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of logistics and purchasing experience.
• Experience in process manufacturing and business management.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience in consumer-packaged goods, ideally in the pet category.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based role; overtime and weekend work may be required
• May sit or stand for long periods 
• Must follow safety policies and procedures
• Occasionally lift/carry items up to 50 lbs
