A member of the Security and Safety department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The Security Guard is responsible for the security and safety of Lyons Magnus employees, related properties, production, and activities. This position reports to the Security Manager.

• Pay Range: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
• Hours: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• (Must be willing to work OT and Weekends)

Location: Fresno, CA

• Work Environment: Guard Shack

Core Responsibilities:

• Patrols all facilities by foot and golf cart.
• Ensures the personal safety of Lyons Magnus employees, staff, visitors and property.
• May operate and monitor security control panel alarms, and related security equipment to provide area, incoming/outgoing traffic and visitor surveillance.
• Checks for suspicious occurrences and always enforces safety procedures.
• Responds to and investigates all suspicious situations. Calls police or other authorities to investigate suspicious activities that require intervention.
• Assist security guards in Security Booth by checking ID cards of persons entering the premises. Refuses to admit persons who cannot show either proper authorization or cause for being admitted.
• Maintains logs and records of occurrences, activities, and checkpoints, completes necessary paperwork/reports.
• Maintains working knowledge of the locations of various departments, buildings, access routes and admitting requirements.
• Completes daily security reports on software applications.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

• Working knowledge of radios, camera systems, emergency proceduresBilingual - English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience in completing reports/investigations with strong attention to detail
• Must have a valid California driver’s license

Required Qualifications:

• Guard Card
• Understanding of federal, state, and local requirements, including OSHA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of general experience in security, law enforcement preferred.
• Working knowledge of radios, camera systems, emergency procedures
• Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience in completing reports/investigations with strong attention to detail
