About This Role:

GFF is seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator to join our Information Technology team in Dallas. This position combines network administration responsibilities, ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our IT infrastructure with some end-user helpdesk support. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of hands-on experience in network management, system administration, and IT support, within a professional services environment.

What You’Ll Do

Helpdesk Support

  • Provide timely and professional technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets efficiently while maintaining documentation of resolutions and procedures.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Assist and train users on software applications and IT best practices.

Network Administration

  • Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Perform routine network maintenance, upgrades, and security monitoring.
  • Ensure network protection through firewall management, antivirus, and patching.
  • Track system performance and proactively recommend improvements.

Systems & Infrastructure

  • Support and maintain Windows Server environments (2019).
  • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and associated cloud services.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with licensing.

Projects & Collaboration

  • Participate in IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to optimize technology usage.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and automation solutions.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of experience in IT support and network administration.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and networking protocols.
  • Experience with virtualization, backup systems, and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft) preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
  • Willingness to provide occasional after-hours or weekend support for maintenance and emergencies.
  • Availability for limited travel to Fort Worth and Austin offices.
