Job Summary: DCU’s Quality Control Department is seeking technicians that are responsible for testing materials & finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable company & industry standards. Quality control technicians test products across the three stages of production (before, in-process, & final) to ensure quality levels are met.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Testing door related components.
- Be able to follow procedures on testing motors, gearboxes, controls, wiring harnesses, & items procured by DCU.
- Follow wiring schematics to make doors function properly.
- Be able to train other employee/customers the overall principle of how each piece works.
- Make sound decisions on whether parts made by Door Controls will meet or exceed the requirements that our customers expect.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Needs to be mechanically inclined, automatic door knowledge preferred.
- Proficient with basic hand tools.
- Knowledge of electromechanical devices, motors, controllers, gearboxes etc...
- Experience with voltmeter, wiring schematics, and an understanding of electrical safety.
- Be able to show good judgement, be a team player, and exhibit leadership skills.
Education And Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and walking are required.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
