Job Title: Director of Operations
Location: Phoenix, AZ (On-site, Multi-location)
Hours & Schedule: Full-time, standard business hours (Monday–Friday)
Work Environment: Outpatient Spine & Pain Clinic
Travel Required: Yes — regular travel between multiple clinic locations in the Phoenix area
Compensation: $120k - $150k Base + Bonus ($200k OTE)
Bonus Offered: Performance-based bonus

Job Summary:
The Director of Operations oversees daily operations, financial performance, HR administration, and strategic initiatives for a multi-site medical practice. This role serves as the owner’s right hand—driving growth, maintaining compliance, optimizing workflows, and ensuring all departments operate efficiently and cohesively. The General Manager will play a key role in implementing systems that support long-term expansion while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage overall operations across multiple clinic locations to ensure smooth, efficient daily performance
- Oversee the HR function, including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, and performance management
- Manage practice financials including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, and expense controls
- Support revenue cycle operations, billing processes, and payer contracting to ensure optimal cash flow
- Partner closely with ownership to execute strategic goals and growth initiatives
- Implement new service lines and oversee business development opportunities
- Develop and refine SOPs, schedules, and workflows to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Review vendor contracts and negotiate favorable terms
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and other healthcare regulations
- Optimize EMR/PM systems (preferably eClinicalWorks) and develop KPI dashboards to track performance
- Promote accountability, communication, and staff development across departments
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare operations or medical practice management
- Strong understanding of HR operations and employment law (Arizona experience preferred)
- Financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, and expense oversight
- Knowledge of medical billing, RCM, and payer contracting
- eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
