About The Role
As Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the execution phase of external works (installation fence, modify road infrastructure on an existing office campus, …) within a larger, multidisciplinary construction project. This temporary assignment, starting in December and lasting approximately 9 months, requires a seasoned professional to lead and coordinate all activities related to the outside works. You will be part of a broader project team composed of experts from various disciplines, while holding end-to-end responsibility for the successful delivery of the external works.
Your ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and ensure seamless site coordination will be key to the success of this phase.
Your Main Responsibilities will include
- Leading and coordinating the execution of outside works from start to finish.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all matters related to external works.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring alignment and integration with other project components.
- Managing multistakeholder relationships, including contractors, suppliers, local authorities, and internal teams.
- Conducting regular site inspections and lead/assist to coordination meetings.
- Monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Identifying and resolving issues/ risks proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Reporting regularly to senior management and stakeholders on project status.
- Supporting the handover process and ensuring readiness for operational use.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Bachelor in Construction Management, or a related field. Or equivalent via relevant experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management in external works or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, site coordination, and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to consult AutoCAD drawings.
- Languages: Fluency in English and either French or Dutch is mandatory.
