About The Position

We’re supporting one of the most ambitious international events ever hosted in Los Angeles, an unprecedented citywide effort that brings together public agencies, private partners, and global stakeholders to deliver a series of complex, temporary infrastructure and venue projects. The Venues and Infrastructure (VNI) team plays a central role in making that possible, ensuring that every site is functional, innovative, and delivered to the highest standards for accessibility, sustainability, and design excellence.

We’re seeking a Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing and contract activities for this multi-year infrastructure program. This role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of engineering, construction, and event delivery, working with world-class partners and suppliers to shape how goods and services are procured for a fast-moving, high-visibility portfolio of projects.

The Procurement Manager will oversee the planning, bidding, and award process for venue and infrastructure packages. The role includes developing bid documents, evaluating supplier qualifications, approving award recommendations, and ensuring alignment with internal standards for sustainability, compliance, and value optimization. The Procurement Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams in Finance, Legal, and Design & Delivery, as well as external partners, to ensure procurement strategies are transparent, competitive, and compliant.

This is a long-term, full-time, on-site position located in Los Angeles, CA, with occasional travel to suppliers’ offices and construction sites.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services within the VNI portfolio.
  • Lead teams of internal and contracted procurement professionals, including contract administrators and procurement specialists.
  • Validate market sourcing approaches, supplier outreach, and qualification criteria.
  • Develop bid packages that incorporate technical and sustainability requirements from design, engineering, and delivery teams.
  • Establish selection criteria and manage award recommendations.
  • Coordinate closely with Legal, central Procurement, Finance, and Venue Management teams to ensure timely and compliant execution.
  • Track and report sustainability and impact metrics within the procurement process.
  • Translate bid documentation into finalized contracts in coordination with Legal and delivery teams.
  • Maintain organized contract records within project management and invoicing systems.

Attributes

  • Sharp analytical thinker who turns raw data into concise, persuasive narratives for executive audiences.
  • Detail-oriented guardian of fiscal discipline who sees the “big picture” of scope, schedule, and commercial risk.
  • Collaborative, low-ego communicator who is comfortable guiding multidiscipline teams.
  • Adaptable mindset suited to fast-moving, politically visible mega projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in procurement and contracts management for large infrastructure or temporary event projects.
  • Experience leading procurement teams or managing contracted staff.
  • Proven ability to manage concurrent procurements under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with purchasing, payment, and contract management systems such as Agiloft, Workday, Textura, CMiC, or Compass.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, law, or finance.
  • Active professional certifications such as CCM (CMAA), MRICS/FRICS (RICS), PMP (PMI), or CCA (AACE).
  • Experience interfacing with industry standard scheduling systems, cost systems, and contract platforms to ensure alignment (e.g., Primavera’s P6, Portfolio Planner, Cloud Schedule, Unifier, Aconex, and Kahua; PMWeb, Prism, e-Builder, etc.).
