The TerraPower Isotopes® (TPI™) division has been established to pursue medical isotopes development--advancing nuclear science for significant human health benefits. We seek to support revolutionary radiotherapies for treatments of various cancers through the supply of radioisotopes. TerraPower currently has unique access to a supply of thorium for the long-term production of actinium-225 in the growing alpha therapy market and intends to expand into other nuclear related medical treatments.

Technology Program Coordinator, TPI

The Technology Program Coordinator, TPI will be primarily responsible for coordination of communication and planning in support of TPI technology and process development programs. These development programs support the TerraPower Isotopes® team mission of expanding the production and delivery of unique radioisotopes intended for use in targeted therapy.  This role will entail coordinating schedules across TPI interdisciplinary teams, developing and analyzing key performance indicators supporting continuous improvement of our technology and process development efforts, and supporting a risk-based approach to the planning and prioritization of research, development, and testing activities.

This position is immersed in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment in which effective communication, teamwork and collaboration is required.  A strong applicant is one who takes initiative to identify gaps in planning and communication, and demonstrates good judgement and team building to coordinate prompt resolution of emerging issues and strong delivery against TerraPower Isotopes® mission and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating development, maintenance, and communication of technology program schedules, forecasts, and metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Supporting identification, tracking, and communication of technology program risks and issues to key stakeholders and supporting coordination and planning of new technology development workstreams to resolve or mitigate identified risks.
  • Support coordination and communication between technology and process development teams and procurement functions to ensure prioritization of critical path and long-lead procurements requests, change orders, invoices, condition reports, and related project documentation.
  • Facilitate long-term and sprint project planning, retrospectives, action tracking and response.
  • Support planning, coordination and communication between Everett Laboratory Facilities team and TerraPower Isotopes® engineering team in advance and during complex equipment installation efforts with the goal of ensuring effective information flow and deployment of resources.
  • Support coordination, communication and planning of interfacing projects between TerraPower Isotopes® technology and process development teams and internal and external design, engineering and facilities support teams to ensure effective delivery against project goals.
  • Support facilitation of engineering design reviews.
  • Support development of policy and procedural documents, work instructions, and process maps to support the growing and cross-functional integration of the technology team.

Key Qualifications And Skills:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical, engineering or laboratory sciences.
  • Minimum of three years experience in a complex technology or engineering role required, and the capability to understand technical risks and engineering requirements.
  • Experience in a role demonstrating project and program coordination strongly preferred. On the job experience in a technology project coordination role, or CAPM or PMP certification will be recognized as demonstrating these skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills in planning and coordinating disparate organizations.
  • Excellent computer-based skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite in creating operating procedures, visual reports, and in conducting analysis and forecasting.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, such as those developed in fast-paced environments including the military, and other nuclear or radiopharmaceutical environments is highly preferred.
  • Ability to handle projects that include many competing objectives and constraints, with ability to resolve conflicts between objectives and contribute to productive delivery of goals within a fast paced environment.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, able to communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
  • Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.

Job Details:

Salary Range Level 9: $102,804 - $154,206

Salary Range Level 10: $117,922 - $176,833

*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands.  Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  This range is specific to Washington State.
