Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, GAAP Accounting

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Statutory Financial Return and Capital and Solvency Return basis BMA Guidelines – annually and Preparation of Financial Documents and Notes thereto basis US GAAP
• Understanding and analyzing financial documents from annual reports and filings to come out with logical interpretations and trends and supplies to financial close cycles, including preparation of multiple schedules needed for GAAP and other Regulatory requirements
• Build effective controls in the reporting processes to ensure accuracy of the financials and other supplements filings
• Operational improvements and Streamlining to drive efficiencies and effectiveness and preparation of other Regulatory Reporting, Board packs, Management Packs, other Internal Reports and EBS/ABIR Surveys
• Coordinates, conducts reviews and/or documents and efforts involving financial close processes, analysis, GAAP and Regulatory requirements, ad hoc requests, research and special projects.
• Good experience with ERP - Preferably Oracle HFM/Essbase ; IT savvy & Understands interface processes with accounting ledger

Qualifications We Seek In You

Minimum Qualifications

• CA/B.Com
• M.Com/ MBA/PGDBM (Preferred)

Preferred Skill Set

• Preferred with Bermuda Regulatory reporting experience of Insurance line (P&C) but training can be provided to the suitable candidate
• Hands on experience in Bermuda Regulatory reporting process is desirable
• Strong customer service focus and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within timely timeframes
• Highly ambitious and demonstrating excellent problem solving abilities
• Experience of front ending with customer, issue critical issue
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office. (PowerPoint) and advance Excel (V lookup, H lookup and Pivot)
