How you’ll make an impact

To deliver superior technical and compliance advisory support to the business through monitoring and informing the business of regulatory change, providing technical advice on the impact of laws and regulation on super and retirement products, completing compliance assessments for possible incidents and breaches, supporting legislative and product development projects and maintaining robust relationships with industry associations to increase AMP’s influence over future regulatory change.

  • Identifying, monitoring and responding to regulatory reform impacting AMP’s Superannuation & Investments and Platforms businesses
  • Analysing new regulatory requirements impacting superannuation and preparing impact and opportunity assessments from a process, product and systems perspective 
  • Providing technical advice and Subject Matter Expert support to the business regarding superannuation and related legislation
  • Completing compliance assessments and determining reportability for risk events (incidents) based on severity, impact, and regulatory materiality thresholds
  • Referring risk events to the Breach Committee for review and determination as required
  • Ensuring quality documentation of all compliance assessment outcomes in the Risk Management system
  • Drafting technical content including case studies where relevant for internal briefing papers
  • Facilitating regular technical updates and education sessions for internal customers 
  • Implementation support for regulatory change and product development projects
  • Supporting the Product Disclosure (PDS) program for the AMP product suite to ensure documents are technically accurate and compliant
  • Drafting technical content and providing signoff for customer communications, marketing material, operational procedure and internal training documents
  • Supporting Product and Operations to resolve any errors identified with current systems and procedures
  • Adopting a compliance recognition culture to assist in ensuring compliance of systems and operating procedures

What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role: 

  • Previous 5+ years’ experience in relevant professional role and working across a fast paced, customer/client service orientated team environment and/or financial service industry and driving a collaborative, high performance culture
  • Competent understanding and experience of wealth management and end to end business operations
  • Intermediate technical experience in specific area of business/function (be specific) of wealth management and end to end business operations
  • Understanding of competitors propositions and Superannuation/Investment industry trends, as they relate to the wealth management, in particular platforms environment.
  • Understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or preparedness to undergo studies in business or finance desirable
  • Tier 2 RG146 accreditation is desirable
  • In depth understanding of superannuation and related legislation
  • Investments/ fund manager experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of superannuation products
