Summary:
Responsible for coordinating, developing, leading, implementing, and monitoring wellness and life enrichment programs for the residents of Wyndstone. Other responsibilities will include scheduling, supervision and coordination of Wellness/Life Enrichment Coordinators, Administrative Assistants and Bus Drivers to ensure coverage, ratios, and exemplary service.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities:
- Plans and coordinates activities for residents in multi-levels of care
- Creates, enhances, and maintains a culture of health, fitness and overall wellness
- Maintains and improves Wellness and Life Enrichment programs with innovation in order to avoid resident participation burnout. To keep residents fully engaged in day-to-day activities and wellness classes
- Contributes to developing and maintaining resident participation and engagement
- Portrays an energetic, upbeat, vibrant attitude to enhance resident motivation and participation.
- Participates in and cultivates community relationships and outreach events such as health fairs and education presentations
- Has a strong understanding of the Seven Dimensions of Wellness and strive to incorporate these in Wellness and life Enrichment planning.
- Coordinate and transport residents via campus vehicles for off-campus activities
- Lead a variety of exercise classes and group activities
- Complete necessary documentation
- Has daily contact with residents, staff members, volunteers and resident family members and guests.
- Maintains relations between community members, visitors and guests of residents and vendors
- Create calendars, make posters & ensure the daily Communicator is written for residents
- Supports and facilitates staff engagement through participation in the Employee Recognition Committee.
- Is responsible for engaging volunteers through collaboration with the Director of Volunteers and/or the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Responsible for supporting volunteers while they are at WyndStone
- Meet with new staff to assist with welcoming and their orientation schedule.
- Filing, data entry, record keeping and other duties as assigned
Supervisor:
- Interview, hire, orient and supervise assigned staff.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, coach, direct, and perform discipline, if necessary
- Ensure schedule coverage and minimize overtime
- Provides professional level support and direction to Wyndstone, in a manner that supports our mission
- Works closely with all production staff to ensure the following standards are being met:

- Attends mandatory safety in-services
- Keeps activity area and storage areas clean and orderly

Employee Responsibilities:
- Follows policy and procedures on TB testing
- Follows policy and procedures on annual influenza vaccinations
- Attends all mandatory in-services
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Administrator
Requirements
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge and skills acquired through completion of high school. Six months previous work experience in a similar setting is preferred. Supervision experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:
- Must be knowledgeable about community resources, community events and other opportunities that will make the Wellness and Life Enrichment program interesting and challenging to residents.
- Ability to develop, plan and coordinate activity programs independently
- Need to have the ability to work under time deadlines, manage time efficiently and work effectively with a variety of staff members, residents and other personnel
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn computer programs to create calendars, posters, schedules and communicate with team members and families
- Have the ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work individually as well supervise a team and be involved in discussions and planning
- Must possess a valid MT Driver’s License, CDL endorsement preferred.
- Must possess a good driving record
Physical Demands:
- Requires the ability to stand, bend, lift and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
