WHAT YOU’LL DO 
 
As a Software Engineer, you are responsible for the entire software life cycle – design, development, testing, release, and maintenance – and for translating business needs into working software. Regardless of area, tools, or language, you will build and configure solutions that are easy to maintain and adapt, enabling a constant delivery pace to be sustained over time. This is achieved through continuous attention to technical excellence, good design, and automation. 

A Software Engineer believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. We believe you will focus on value creation, growth, and serving customers with full ownership and accountability, consistently delivering exceptional customer and business results. 

Work tasks include but are not limited to: 

  • Backend development on Azure Cloud. 
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system 
  • Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes. 
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use. 
  • Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability, Implementation of security and data protection. 
  • Design and implementation of data storage solutions. 
  • Building APIs using REST architecture. 

Who You’Ll Work With

BOX – Store performance app is a modern, digital solution for store managers at H&M. Providing a simpler, faster, and more secure application to monitor and analyse store performance. Designed and developed in-house, BOX delivers a tailored and intuitive experience for our stores. The team also works on other key product solutions such as Store Locator and Time & Attendance, being developed by a dedicated group of engineers, business experts, and product manager. 

As part of the team, you’ll build and improve a modern, data-driven product suite where reliability and performance are essential. The solutions you develop will handle large volumes of data and power real-time decision-making across our stores and for our customers.

Who You Are

We’re looking for people with… 

Technical Competences

  • Typescript, Node.Js, Yarn

  • Knowledge of REST architecture (Fastify/similar) and building scalable APIs. 
  • Automated testing with Jest. 
  • Database management and complex SQL queries (CosmosDB, BigQuery) 
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience. 
  • Working with Monorepo architecture. 
  • Experience in Serverless architectures. 
  • Working with microservices (Kubernetes). 
  • Exposure to DevOps practices.
