Introduction
The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan. Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations.

Responsibilities
You Will Be Responsible To:
- check and process prescribed laboratory tests by the doctors
- brief the patients about laboratory test and procedures
- hand over laboratory test reports to the concerned individuals
- handle cash and credit transactions; also maintain records of the excess/shortage of cash according to the laboratory policy on a daily basis
- check and confirm test requirements with the patients and provide necessary verbal / written instructions so that the specimens are collected as per requirement(s)
- entertain telephone enquiries regarding laboratory tests and take patient’s appointments for special test
- work as a Phlebotomist as and when required; hence function as dual worker at the collection points.
Requirements
You Should Have:
- a Bachelor’s degree
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
- experience as a Phlebotomist for 1 year or more
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- flexibility to perform shift duties
- computer proficiency
- knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures.
