Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Medior Data Architect to join our team and play a key role in shaping and implementing robust, scalable, and secure data architectures across cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure). In this role, you will be at the forefront of our data-driven strategy, working collaboratively with engineers, business stakeholders, and DevOps teams to build future-proof solutions that drive innovation and ensure seamless data accessibility, quality, and compliance. Main Mission: As a Medior Data Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and governance of scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures (based either AWS and/or Azure), driving our enterprise data strategy and analytics capabilities. You will work closely with data engineers, business stakeholders, and DevOps teams to align technical solutions with business needs, ensure architectural coherence, and maintain a resilient and future-proof data ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain end-to-end data architecture (data lakes, data warehouses, real-time & batch pipelines)
- Select and implement appropriate Cloud-based services to cover requirements
- Design data models, data governance policies, lineage, and metadata management
- Ensure data quality, compliance (e.g., GDPR), and security (e.g., role-based access control, encryption).
Technical Expertise:
- At least 2 years in data architecture roles using the following services:
- Storage: AWS S3 or Azure Data Lake Storage
- Processing: AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
- Orchestration: AWS Step Functions or Azure Data Factory Pipelines
- Querying & visualization: AWS Athena or Azure Synapse Serverless SQL
- Identity and Access: AWS IAM or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Familiarity in the usage of the following services is a plus:
- Big data technologies: Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, Parquet
- DevOps for data: CI/CD, Terraform
- Python and/or Scala experience for data pipelines.
- Interest or background in traditional software development (e.g., Java, .NET, TypeScript, Spring Boot) is a big plus
- Any AWS/Azure certification is optional but valued.
