Location: Hillside Heights Rehabilitation Center – Eugene, OR

Schedule: Full-time

Hillside Heights Rehabilitation Center, a proud member of the Volare Health family, is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Infection Preventionist RN to join our dedicated team in Eugene, Oregon. As the Infection Preventionist, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the facility’s infection prevention and control efforts. This includes monitoring infection trends, educating staff, and implementing evidence-based practices to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and maintaining the infection prevention and control program in compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and state/local health guidelines
• Conducting routine infection surveillance, analyzing data, and reporting trends to leadership
• Providing ongoing training and education to staff on infection control policies and procedures
• Acting as a subject matter expert and resource for all infection prevention matters
• Leading outbreak investigations and coordinating response strategies
• Monitoring antibiotic usage and supporting antimicrobial stewardship efforts
• Ensuring documentation and reporting requirements are met

Qualifications:

• Current LPN license in good standing with the State of Oregon
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within a defined timeframe
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention practices and relevant regulations
• Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computers and electronic health records
• Must be able to pass a background check and provide professional references
