Licensed Practical Nurse

Merakey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse who will make an impact on the lives of individuals living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Program Description:

Merakey Allegheny Valley School (Merakey AVS) is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to individuals with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.

Position Description:

The LPN will work on the AVS campus in a 17-bed facility. The nurse will provide direct nursing care to persons with developmental and physical disabilities by completing clinical assessments, recording seizure activity as needed, and administering medications. 

Earn $29 per hour plus benefits and shift differentials for a 36 hour week.

• Base Rate is $29.00/hour + $2.00/hour with the selection of Enhanced Pay for full-time roles (Full-Time Roles: 30+ hours a week).
• 2nd & 3rd shift differential is +$2.00/hour.
• All weekend shifts are + $4.00/hour.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Current license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of PA
• One year of experience as an LPN preferred.
• Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
