SUMMARY OF POSITION
The low voltage electrician will support maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation tasks at a customer’s facility supporting tooling and automation for an aircraft assembly line. This position requires expertise in low-voltage controls systems, a proactive approach to system upkeep, and the ability to work professionally in a customer-facing environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and capable of delivering high-quality service while representing our company onsite.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage electrical systems
• Troubleshoot system faults and perform diagnostics to identify issues in wiring, components, or programming
• Run and terminate cables, install connectors, and label wiring per project and customer standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and customer requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment without impacting customer operations
• Coordinate with the customer and project team to schedule work, minimize downtime, and ensure smooth operations
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, service calls, and materials used
• Inspect and test system components as part of preventive maintenance or quality assurance
• Support other electrical or automation technicians onsite when required
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of experience as a low voltage electrician or technician
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and structured cabling standards
• Experience working in commercial or industrial environments
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testers, and diagnostic equipment
• Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and other applicable electrical and workplace safety regulations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience working independently at customer sites
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing practices
• Valid state or local low-voltage electrician license/certification
• A demonstrated capability to think strategically and execute tactically
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Attention to detail
