This role is responsible for the daily management and maintenance of the network architecture, IP Telephony, Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare server and desktop virtualization, Storage Area Network (SAN), network optimization, DMZ, and Information Security. Key process management includes patch management, systems backups, vulnerability mitigation, virus mitigation, intrusion prevention, and vendor management along with vendor oversight within the internal network. Manage technical operations staff and ensure that systems and applications are being properly maintained and configured according to established policies and procedures. Plan and budget for vendor support, maintenance contracts, and licensing. Assist with the development of a Network Infrastructure and Information Security Strategy for the credit union. Adds value to the organization by providing leadership for the technical employees, establishing, and maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the Credit Union technology allows members to be served effectively. Serves as a management escalation resource for the IT Staff on technology related issues. Makes operational and strategic technology recommendations to the SVP of Information Technology and other IT Management.
Additionally, as a member of the Credit Union’s management team, leads, coordinates, and/or facilitates the successful planning, development, administration, and execution of cross-functional business improvement projects. This role is accountable for the Disaster Recovery (DR) environment and aligning the DR solution around the credit union’s business impact analysis results. Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) are to be incorporated into KPIs and tested regularly.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the computer operations, data communications, local/wide area networks, and telecommunications for the credit union.
• Develop and monitor metrics for performance of systems.
• Decide and execute on tactical network operations.
• Make recommendations to elevate the infrastructure based on Nuvision data and industry trends
• Manage IT Technology personnel by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and regularly assessing IT Staff performance. Provides leadership to retain highly competent technology-oriented staff.
• Continually manage network security, ensure security patches are deployed in timely manner, vulnerability assessments are reviewed and issues addressed timely.
• Develop and monitor metrics as part of KPIs.
• Decide and execute on the required improvements to KPIs.
• Ensure a reliable disaster recovery solution is in place and kept current with the growing needs of the organization.
• Clearly define RPO/RTO expectations and track as part of the department’s KPIs.
• Make recommendations to elevate DR strategy based on Nuvision data and industry trends.
• Collaborate with peers and immediate leadership to execute the recommendations.
• Responsible for systems and software vendor relationships: Contracts, SLAs, etc.
• Work closely with IT Security auditors and federal regulators, in regard to ensuring the credit union’s environment is secure.
• Fiscal management - Ownership and reconciliation of department operational and capital budgets.
• Responsible for IT project delivery: On time, on budget, with expected benefits realized.
• Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Represents the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner. Maintains member, team members and other sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Treats co-workers and members with respect.
• Supports, participates and volunteers in credit union member community activities, member relations and events that promotes member centric experiences.
• Stays abreast of current trends in financial services, business operations, processes, information technologies and project management disciplines.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 - 7 years’ experience managing Information Technology for mid-size organizations with complex, large scale IT projects involving cross functional disciplines.
• Must have experiences in operational efficiency initiatives, systems development and IT project and change management disciplines.
• Experience managing IT Operations and Developing Staff.
• Strong working knowledge of network security, Microsoft
• Active Directory, and Microsoft Operating Systems.
• Working knowledge of Cisco Networking, DMZ, WAN Optimization, LAN/WAN connectivity, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Strong management and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff, organizational skills.
• People management skills with a particular emphasis on performance management disciplines.
• Strong third party/vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Self-starter and strong problem resolution skills and ability to identify root cause issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, and in groups to achieve project objectives/deliverables
• Strong project management/leadership skills with ability to effectively prioritize and execute deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle multiple concurrent high-priority items
• Ability to establish a high level of trust and confidence with team members, leadership, stakeholders and vendors
• Strong Presentation skills

Pay scale by applicable geographic location:
• Alaska: Min $134,167.88 - Mid $167,709.85 - Max $201,251.82
The final pay offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to the type and years of applicable experience within the job and industry, education, etc.
