APCO’s Brussels office is hiring a Merger Analyst to join our fast-growing Competition and M&A practice.
Role Overview
As an Antitrust Analyst focused on mergers and acquisitions, you will play a crucial role in the analysis of competition and antitrust compliance from announcement through to completion. This involves identifying and evaluating risks and opportunities across multiple jurisdictions with a particular focus on the European Union and the United Kingdom. The role includes assessment of antitrust risk, as well as Financial Subsidies Regulation and Foreign Direct Investment review.
Responsibilities
- Research and assess levels of risk associated with individual deals and across industries.
- Track progress of merger reviews through institutions and provide timely updates.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and reports to clients and prospective clients and to senior management.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in anti-trust and competition with specific experience in mergers and acquisitions.
- Proven track record of providing insight, commentary and analysis of complex M&A transactions, including cross-border deals and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional writing, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Fluent written English. Knowledge of other European languages an advantage.
