Associate Consultant, Health Policy

APCO’s Brussels office is hiring an Associate Consultant to join our fast-growing healthcare team. We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and talented professional to join our team based on rue Montoyer, just a few minutes’ walk from the European Institutions.

As an Associate Consultant, you will be involved in the day-to-day support of client assignments by monitoring institutional developments and/or media, conducting and analyzing research on a variety of client-related issues or on business development efforts and by drafting materials for clients for both internal and external use. 

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver coverage of key policy, political, media, and stakeholder developments to clients, providing clear and concise analysis of business implications.
• Preparation of client ready materials such as policy analyses, briefing notes and summary reports.
• New business development, including drafting proposals and participating in new business pitches.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ of relevant work experience, in consultancy, European institutions, or within associations.
• A good understanding of the EU health policy landscape, complex health policy issues and the legislative/regulatory process.
• Exceptional writing and analytical skills, and the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines. 
• Excellent client and interpersonal skills; ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively.
• Outstanding presentation skills including the ability to engage an executive leadership and experience briefing senior-level clients.
• Strong understanding of EU institutions and decision-making procedures.
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and creative problem-solving skills.
