Description
The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office seeks to fill a full-time receptionist/administrative assistant position to join our administrative support team. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
- Responsibilities:
- Create a positive first impression and ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and professional.
- Answer and route incoming calls, take messages, and handle general inquiries.
- Greet and welcome the public, direct them appropriately to the correct person or department, ensure security procedures are followed.
- Maintain a meeting calendar for visitors.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including FedEx and UPS packages and process all incoming faxes.
- All general clerical duties including, but not limited to, data entry, case file management, victim/witness correspondence, scanning, photocopying, printing, mailing and filing.

Qualifications
Qualifications Required:
- Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and our current case management system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- A professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Fulfill the mandatory education and training requirements of the State Ethics Commission.
- Become familiar with and follow the provisions of the Office Personnel Policies, particularly regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, drug-free workplace and the usage of information technology resources.
- Participate in training relevant to Office functions.
- Interact in a respectful and professional manner with the public, judicial and law enforcement personnel and office staff.
- Complete work assignments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
Salary: $44,000 annually
The receptionist/administrative assistant reports to the Director of Administrative Services.
All full-time positions offer a state benefit package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, and paid vacation, personal and sick leave and paid parental leave. Payroll is paid bi-weekly and based on a 37.5-hour work week. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of background check. All positions serve at the pleasure of the District Attorney.
