We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Chief Operating Officer within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered in Franklin County at ODNR Central Office. Chief Operating Officer, Division of Parks & Watercraft Responsibilities:
- On behalf of the agency, holds & serves in a fiduciary or administrative relationship for the Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ORC 124.11(A)) & acts as Chief Operating Officer for the Division of Parks & Watercraft.
- Oversees field operations involving state parks including planning, budgeting, and manpower while serving as a principal advisor to the chief.
- Implements operational strategies to align with the mission of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Division of Parks & Watercraft by managing resources, leading initiatives, and developing financial plans.
- Oversees Parks and Watercraft central office operations including Fiscal, Information & Education, and Capital Programs & Real Estate.
Pay Range: $134,000 - $144,000

Qualifications
Education&/or experience in Natural Resources Management, Parks & Recreation Management, Business or Public Administration &/or other natural resources related work as determined by the appointing authority.
