Purpose of the Role
At Worley, we are delivering sustainable change by bridging the world’s energy needs of today with the cleaner, more sustainable solutions of tomorrow. The People Advisor plays an integral role in enabling this transformation by supporting the people who make it possible.
This position provides tactical HR support to line managers and employees, ensuring alignment between people initiatives and business goals. The HR Advisor will administer and guide the implementation of HR policies, facilitate performance management processes, and contribute to recruitment, retention, and succession planning strategies. Through consultative, empathetic, and data-informed guidance, the HR Advisor helps foster a culture of inclusion, performance excellence, and continuous development across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and apply HR policies and procedures with consistency and fairness, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations.
- Provide practical advice and support to employees and line managers on a wide range of HR issues, including employee relations, performance, and development.
- Collaborate with managers to coordinate the performance management process, ensuring timely feedback and effective goal setting.
- Support recruitment and selection processes by partnering with hiring managers to attract and retain high-performing, purpose-driven talent.
- Assist in implementing succession planning and talent development strategies aligned with Worley’s sustainability and growth ambitions.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion across the business.
- Participate in collaborative efforts to address people-related challenges through empathetic, solution-based consultation.
- Develop commercial awareness by understanding how HR initiatives impact business performance and operational success.
- Promote flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness to changing priorities within a dynamic global environment.
- Maintain accurate HR data and reporting to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Skillset
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in human resources functions such as employee relations, recruitment, performance management, or HR administration within a dynamic, project-driven organization.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Intermediate understanding of HR systems, processes, and tools.
- Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures consistently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen, advise, and influence constructively.
- Developing expertise in collaborative problem-solving and empathetic consultation.
- Demonstrated capability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage ambiguity, and respond to evolving business needs.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how HR practices contribute to overall business outcomes.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and sustainable growth.
