Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Support Engineer with a strong background in technical support, SQL databases, and automated job scheduling. The ideal candidate will have a problem-solving mindset, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to provide effective Level 1 and Level 2 application support in a dynamic environment.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional office presence (once every 1–2 weeks).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 software support, diagnosing and resolving technical incidents efficiently.
  • Analyze recurring issues and propose process or system improvements to reduce downtime and enhance performance.
  • Manage batch processing and automated job scheduling systems.
  • Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to escalate and resolve complex incidents.
  • Document all support procedures, incident resolutions, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and maintain high user satisfaction.
  • 8+ years of experience in software/application support roles (not hardware support).

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell script, Python) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to document incidents and maintain structured knowledge bases.
  • Strong English communication skills (B2+).
  • Readiness for shift work and occasional on-call duties.
  • Proactive, self-driven attitude with a focus on continuous learning and problem-solving.
