The University of South Florida College of Nursing is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to join our faculty, with priority focus on sleep, Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias (ADRD), neuropsychology, mental health, substance use, or addiction; psychosocial, and self-efficacy coping in cancer, disability, and/or rural health. This onsite position requires in-person presence during standard business hours; remote or hybrid work is not available.

We’re looking for a dynamic scholar with a strong research background, teaching excellence, and a commitment to service. The successful candidate will be expected to:

Develop and maintain an independent, externally funded research program

Publish in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to high-impact scholarship

Teach and mentor students across programs

Engage in service at the college, university, and community levels

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Additional Minimum Requirements:

Proven or potential for extramural funding and scholarly productivity

If a nurse, must be eligible for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Florida.
