Service New Brunswick (SNB) is looking for an innovative and driven IT Recruiter to join our People and Culture team. With an IT division of over 800 professionals and growing, SNB is one of the largest IT employers in the province-playing a central role in advancing digital government services that impact every New Brunswicker.
What You'll Do - Play a key role in hiring the professionals who will strengthen our province’s digital future:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for a wide range of IT roles across the province.
- Partner with hiring teams to understand technical requirements and workforce priorities.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies and talent pipelines.
- Use data and market insights to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Contribute to workforce planning aligned with long-term digital transformation efforts.
- Represent SNB at recruitment events, job fairs, and other outreach opportunities.
- Demonstrate specialized knowledge within the technology services field aligned with skill or role specialization.

- Strong experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a high-volume or complex environment.
- Exposure to or interest in recruiting for IT or technical roles.
- Deep understanding of sourcing strategies, candidate experience, and market trends.

- Background in IT (e.g., systems, development, project delivery, or technical support).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: University degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology or Human Resources or other related field.
University Degree: A minimum of 4 years of related work experience in either IT or recruitment (depending on the path).
Diploma: A minimum of 6 years of related work experience in either IT or recruitment (depending on the path)
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: While not required, the following qualifications would be considered strong assets:
- Experience working in the public sector or on large-scale transformation projects.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience with proactive sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter).
- Knowledge of current trends in IT (e.g., cloud, cybersecurity, DevOps, digital services).
- Understanding of employment legislation and hiring best practices in New Brunswick.
- Experience developing or participating in employer branding or recruitment marketing campaigns.
- Certification in HR, recruitment, or IT
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:
- Travel throughout the province as well as outside of the province may be required.
- Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $58,474 - $81,770 annually – Pay Band 4 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
