Schedule: PRN, Evening Shift
Responsibilities:
- Provides cleaning and sanitizing services to support a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces.
- Supports patient safety through consistent and high-quality service.
- Demonstrates ability to support the cleaning and disinfection of high-acuity clinical and procedural areas.
- Applies disinfection protocols and utilizes approved cleaning tools in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policy.
- Conducts hazardous and biohazardous waste removal in compliance with safety regulations and infection prevention protocols.
- Proactively communicates and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure cleaning processes support patient safety and care flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
- No previous experience required.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
- Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
- Requires the ability to operate light floor equipment for cleaning floors in patient care areas.
- Requires the ability to climb ladders.
- Requires the ability to clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR/Cardiac Cath/Mother-Baby/NICU/OR/ED.
