Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in construction materials manufacturing. As a Purchasing Assistant, Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the local purchasing department — ensuring the timely procurement of materials, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with quality and supplier management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, MRO, subcontracted products, and services under management supervision.
  • Run and review reports on past-due orders and monitor production schedules to ensure material availability.
  • Assist with inventory control based on forecasts and input from Product Line Management.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve vendor payment issues.
  • Gather data and perform cost analyses to support purchasing decisions; prepare related reports.
  • Act as liaison with Quality Management on Supplier Action Reports (SAR), Non-Conformities (NCR), and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAR/PAR).
  • Track and reconcile vendor credits from non-conformities to ensure correct account assignment.
  • Compile results for the annual Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Audit programs; maintain records and archives.
  • Follow all safety procedures, work rules, and company policies. 
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 2+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
